Jill Bamber2I run my private practice from consulting rooms in Hebden Bridge, Calderdale.

I specialise in working with people who are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, workplace/school or personal relationship issues, bereavement, loss and low self-esteem. I offer a safe and confidential space for clients to explore their fears and feelings whilst encouraging them to take responsibility for their own well-being.

I work in a pluralistic way which means that I will work with you using a model of therapy which suits your particular needs. I am trained and qualified in Person-Centred Therapy, Online Counselling, Couples Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Therapeutic Play. My specialisms include counselling children and young people, people who have experienced bereavement, domestic abuse, workplace problems as well as NHS patients and online clients of all ages. I also offer counselling supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors and therapists and am contracted with a number of universities and higher education colleges to provide trainee supervision.

I am a lecturer on the Counselling degree at a Lancashire University College and a counselling supervisor at an FE College in Manchester. In addition, I provide telephone workforce counselling support through Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) to employees across the UK.

I hold an enhanced DBS clearance, which means that I am police-checked to work with children as well as adults.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and Counselling Children and Young People and abide by their Ethical Framework. I am also an Accredited Member of the National Council of Psychotherapists.
